The Orthodox Christian Monastery of St. Andrew the Apostle

The Monastery is a dual monastery, that is a place for both male and female monastics.  Both having separate livings quarters and only combining together for work, meals and worship.

The Monastery is a place where Christian souls that desire to dedicate themselves totally to God take refuge, occupy themselves constantly with God, pray unceasingly, and glorify His Name while simultaneously they cleanse themselves internally and strive to become holy.

The Monastery is dedicated to the Spirit of the memory eternal of the Holy Apostle St. Andrew, one of the first called evangelists to the people.

The Monastery is located in rural Northern Colorado. It is located in a peaceful wooded setting. It is a place appropriate for prayer. The Monastery was established in 1998 and includes a private residence for the monastics, chapel, dinning hall, a workshop for making of religious items such as chotkis, rosaries, other hand made items and crafts.

The Purpose of the Monastery:

1. The realization of sanctification by mimicking the angels,
the completion of salvation of the monastics that practice it.

2. The cultivation of the inner and adored life, the fulfillment
of the monastic promise of purity, obedience, and poverty
as it is written in the Holy Gospel and the Canons of the
Orthodox Church.

3. The cultivation of love, unity, brotherly love, and peace.

4. Assistance to the Orthodox Church through prayers.

5. Exercise of the body, through spiritual and physical labor,
the sanctification and piety of souls that abide within the
holy brother and sisterhood.
